Warranty Information

1-Year Limited Warranty

All Kappetijn Knives are backed by a 1-year limited warranty against defects in materials and craftsmanship under normal use. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, abuse, improper care, or rust.

Carbon and Damascus steel are prone to corrosion if not maintained properly—do not wash in a dishwasher, leave the blade wet, store it dirty (e.g., with blood), or keep it in a sheath while damp for extended periods.

Exclusions

Damage caused by these conditions or by using the knife beyond its intended purpose—such as prying, batoning, striking hard surfaces, or incorrect sharpening—is not covered. Normal wear and tear is also excluded.

Claims

Proof of purchase is required, and the knife must be returned to Kappetijn Knives for inspection. The warranty applies to the original owner only.
